ThinkFirst Canada!....before using off-road vehicles - Press Release - Digital Journal

"All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) are powerful machines that require strength and skill to operate. So it makes sense to start teaching kids to ride early, right? 'No! - The truth is that ATVs cause more permanent disabilities and death than most other sport or recreational activities,' says Dr. Charles Tator, brain surgeon, researcher and founder of ThinkFirst Canada. 'Children and youth lack the knowledge, development and skills to safely operate these vehicles. ATV use by children has resulted in serious injury and death'"

niagara river recreational trail posts - Take Paws | Dog Time - Dog Blog Network

"I’m not sure if people think of Niagara Falls as a dog friendly destination … but it is. True, you’re not going to be able to bring Fido on the touristy stuff you did on your honeymoon (walking Cave of the Winds, riding Maid of the Mist, or ascending Skylon Tower). However, there is so much more to Niagara Falls. Victoria Park, which runs along the Niagara Parkway opposite the falls, is beautiful and dog friendly. Have you been to the Whirlpool, the Floral Clock, or the Botanical Gardens? All are pet friendly. And encompassing all of these attractions is the 35-mile Niagara River Recreational Trail, a paved path starting at Fort George on Lake Ontario and running south to Fort Erie on Lake Erie."

Ontario, Saugeen River Country, Saugeen shores - Kayak, Canoe route

"The Rankin River below Boat Lake is impassable. We suggest that you do not paddle it at this time.

The Rankin River canoe route travels from Sky Lake to Sauble Falls, a distance of 18 km with a travel time of 5-7 hours. (Please note: these times are typical for mid-summer. Actual time may vary depending on the ability of the paddler and water conditions.) Campsites at Sauble Falls Provincial Park are easily accessible or book space at one of the private campgrounds located close to the canoe route.

Paddle the Rankin all in one trip or break it down into three shorter trips...whichever route suits!"
