The Digital Raster Acquisition Project - East
We’re pleased to announce that our next imagery acquisition project will be in south-eastern Ontario in 2014. TheDigital Raster Acquisition Project East (DRAPE 2014) is part of Land Information Ontario’s five-year imagery refresh cycle and will update imagery that was last acquired for this area in 2008.
The acquisition area is shown on the map and will be finalized over the coming months. The project will include 20 cm resolution, leaf off, multi-spectral imagery that is accurate to 50 cm ‘on the ground’.
Like all of our imagery projects, DRAPE 2014 uses a partnership approach to reduce acquisition costs and ensure the imagery is affordable for organizations that need it.
A Steering Committee will be formed to lead and promote the project to public and private sector organizations. A general DRAPE 2014 meeting will be held this fall to discuss timelines, funding and deliverables with potential partners.
If you’re interested in the DRAPE 2014 project or would like more information, please contact the project manager, Mike Robertson, at mike.robertson@ontario.ca or 705-755-1280.
