"The pleasures of a walk in the woods in the winter are many - and they can be enjoyed, perhaps surprisingly, within the city limits of St. Clair, one of the most thoroughly built-out cities in the Blue Water area.

Attached to the Bruce Trail: hikers drawn to variety of long-distance Ont. path - Winnipeg Free Press
"TORONTO - There's a rocky ledge near the north end of Ontario's long-distance Bruce Trail that has special significance for hikers Rick and Wendy Plume.
The Toronto couple have been there several times — 'it's a very beautiful, rugged' part of the trail, says Wendy, describing the bare outcrop high above the waters of Georgian Bay on the Bruce Peninsula.
Four years ago they stopped there to admire the panoramic view with their friend and hiking partner Norm Cornack. It turned out to be Norm's last hike. Shortly afterwards he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and died within months on his 48th birthday."
