The Caledon Enterprise: Providing Local Community News for Caledon, Ontario 24/7

"The trail, while occupying land just north of Caledon, is a getaway for avid trail hikers, and will be an educational and recreational draw for the people of the Town, according to Bob Shirley, chair of the Friends of Island Lake group.

“Of our users, approximately one third come from Peel, one third from Dufferin and one third from Toronto,” said Shirley. “This is a definite tourist attraction that brings people from outside communities. It is meant for everyone. They are free access trails and once we get finished the project the Towns of Orangeville and Mono have agreed to maintain them.”"
