The Switchback Challenge snowshoe race will see the resort over-run with a squall of snowshoers eager to tackle unforgiving slopes of the forbidding Blue Mountains. It's one of the area's best-kept secrets, although it's also one of the more popular snowshoe races in the province and in Canada.
Organizer Hugh Fallon said the race started from somewhat inauspicious beginnings."
