Ways sought to make city more active - Timmins Daily Press - Ontario, CA

"Whether you're eight or 80, a community should be a safe and enjoyable place to live, play and be active.

That's the premise behind a community forum taking place in Timmins Wednesday to get the ball rolling on the city becoming a more walking and cycling friendly community.

After successfully obtaining a grant from the Heart and Stroke Advocacy Development, the Porcupine Health Unit's Knowledge to Action Partnership has brought 8-80 Cities executive director Gil Penalosa to Timmins to facilitate various workshops and forums over two days."
