durhamregion.com | Scugog asked to help grow East Cross Forest

"A cash contribution of $35,000 from Scugog Township will help Kawartha Conservation officials add more than 200 acres of 'highly significant' land to the East Cross Forest.

Appearing before Scugog council on Monday evening, Rob Messervey told councillors that Kawartha Conservation has 'a very unique opportunity' to add three parcels of lands, totalling 215 acres, to the sprawling East Cross Forest Conservation Area located in the southeastern corner of the township."
