The new Southwestern
Ontario Development Fund and renewed Eastern
Ontario Development Fund are now open and
receiving applications from companies that are driving innovation, growing Ontario's
economy, and creating local jobs.
These funds will help diversify and strengthen each region's economy by encouraging businesses to pursue innovation and new markets, while creating jobs.
Since partnering with the government through the Eastern Ontario Development Fund, Blommer Chocolate Company has invested in modernizing its Campbellford plant, expanding Blommer's market reach, creating 14 new jobs, and keeping 80 more for local families.
Attracting investment and building business is a key part of the McGuinty government's plan to create jobs and strengthen the economy. A strong economy protects the services that matter most to Ontario families - health care and education.
