Sand Lake Cottages & Inn near Algonquin Park and Muskoka has seen a positive impact from the recent recession. “A large number of inquiries are coming from people that don't normally rent Ontario cottages but want to try a less expensive holiday close to home,” says Danette Evely, owner of Sand Lake Cottages & Inn. Rather than visit other provinces or countries, travellers are reducing their costs by booking private cottage rentals and Ontario cottage resorts closer to home."
