Lake Erie Coastal Stewardship Trail News
COAST KEEPERS RESPOND TO OUR CALL FOR HELP!www.carolinian.org Creating a multi-use coastal trail along the Canadian shore of Lake Erie is no simple task but it’s been made easier thanks to a number of volunteers who have offered to help scope out our proposed trail routes. These “Coast Keepers” have come forward to investigate areas such as Pelee Island, Erieau, Port Burwell and the Grand and Canard rivers. There is still time to join these, and other volunteers, who are testing the 600 km trail by bike, car, kayak or foot. You may also wish to highlight your habitat restoration project or a local trail that you feel should be part of the coastal trail. Contact Dan at coast@carolinian.org for more info.
