Volunteers are still needed for Saturday's
Summer Sweat Fest Finale event. We need judges, timekeepers and
isolation Monitors. Judges should attend the free judging clinic Friday
night at 6:30 (dinner included).
All volunteers will be fed &
watered Saturday, and will receive a free day pass to the gym. Please
let us know how you can help us make Saturday an amazing event. We have a
lot of crazy fun planned!

EDCO Member Requires Assistance
Norm
Lingard, Manager of
Economic Development for the
Town of Caledon has
been tasked by Council to hire a consulting firm to undertake a tourism
study for the Village of Alton. In preparing to do so, Norm is looking
for examples of a
Terms of Reference and/or RFP from EDCO members that
have undertaken a similar exercise.
Components of that study are to include the following:
- A SWOT analysis of Alton
- Identification of the level of stakeholder willingness, interest and capacity to engage in tourism development
- A review of existing and potential attractions within Alton and surrounding areas
- An opinion on the readiness and viability of enhanced tourism opportunities
