Snowmobile riders will hit area trails Saturday in support of children and youth with physical disabilities during the 37th annual Snowarama for Easter Seals Kids.
The event, departing the Rod and Gun Club on Connor Road between 8 and 10 a.m., will be a round-trip ride to Searchmont Resort, including a special day pass to access the trails, a fuel top-up at Goulais River General Store, a hot beverage, snack and trailside bonfire, courtesy of the Sault Trailblazers, and lunch at the resort.

"That’s the message in a new ad campaign from the Ontario Provincial Police and Ontario Power Generation warning snowmobilers about the dangers of thin ice, particularly around hydro facilities.

"The Wye Marsh Trails are open to cross-country skiers all winter and to dog sleds only on special occassions. Upcoming dates are February 20 and March 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., for $25 per person, which includes admission to the Wye Marsh.
