Did you Know?

First Nations had been in the Kawartha area since before 1000 A.D. and there are two notable sites surviving from this era – Petroglyphs Provincial Park and Serpent Mounds.  We’ll share more on these intriguing sites later.

The Curve Lake First Nation is Mississauga Ojibway First Nation located in just north of the City of Peterborough.  Here they play host to the Cultural Centre that allows you to step into history and surround yourself in the culture and history of Curve Lake First Nation, with artifacts and unique exhibits we will take you into a world of storytelling, Art, History and ceremony.
