Trailhead Ontario June 19-21 - Thanks to All! A full and varied program was held at Trailhead Ontario 2016 in Calabogie! A big thank-you to all attendees and presenters. You'll find a series of presenter pictures on a number of topics below. The general testimony was "great event", "great topics" "excellent venue" "great people"!! Ontario Trails Council requests information updates! During the past two weeks, through the generous financial support of the Ontario's Highlands Tourism Organization, the OTC was able to secure the support services of Brooke Jones, a Queen's University Student. Brooke got to work right away updating our OTC contacts database. You may have received an e-mail from her requesting information so that we can stay connected. The OTC will not re-distribute or use the information in any way other than to connect with you in order to provide you with information updates about programs and services we provide. Through hushed forest groves and rolling Mennonite farmland, across river valleys and wetlands, past 13 villages and towns, to the sunset horizon of one of the world’s Great Lakes, visitors of all fitness and skill levels can enjoy any part of the G2G’s 127-km length through four counties. Completion of the G2G Rail Trail opens Ontario’s pastoral heartland to the global fitness and recreation phenomena of backpacking and cycle tourism. The G2G helps rural Ontarians share their countryside and hospitality with the world. G2G is launching a Crowdfunding campaign with the new charity based fundraising platform made by Indiegogo, called Generosity. All funds raised go directly to developing and improving the trail. All the communities along the trail will benefit directly as well as future users.
