Police chase ATV through Mitchell - The Beacon Herald - Ontario, CA: "The driver of an ATV faces criminal charges after a chase with police through the streets of Mitchell.
Perth OPP said an officer on patrol Tuesday afternoon spotted an ATV with two male riders, one of whom was not wearing a helmet.
Police said the officer activated the emergency lights on the cruiser and siren as the ATV traveled through residential streets."
More and more it makes more sense to permit trails and have these folks ride in safe trail areas, as an alternative to roads where they get into trouble themselves, or could cause trouble for others. We realize this is not the majority of atv riders, however in the one month this blog has been up this is the 4th reported atv conflict incident. That being we have also reported on 1 snowmobile tragedies, 1 canoeist drowning and one incident of a cyclist riding into a lake, and the work of the OTC on a daily basis to ensure road cyclist safety.
