It's time to park the snowmobile for the year.
The Timmins Snowmobile Club formally closed its OFSC trails for the season. Warm weather has caused snow and ice conditions to deteriorate, making snowmobiling hazardous.
"The only safe and sensible course of action for snowmobilers is to put away their sleds until next winter," said club president Gilbert Fortin. "The risks of trying that one last ride are simply too high now that premature spring thaw has commenced."

The Ontario Trails Council is a registered charity, led by volunteers who promote the development, management, use and conservation of Ontario's trails.
