SNAP Pickering - Ontario Power Generation
"You always know that summer is in full swing in Pickering when Ontario Power Generation begins their Tuesdays On The Trail events. The line-up of events in July were spectacular, with PineRidge Arts Council's Dorsey James leading children to discover symbols and images hidden within the Kijimba Kind trail sculptures and helping them to carve their own wearable keepsake using power grinders. The following Tuesday featured Castles in the Sand and SNAP dropped by the following Tuesday for Pow-Wows Past and Present with Kim Wheatley, who taught children about the beating of a drum, the power of a dance and their connections to the earth."
