So much to see in lovely Elora, Ontario

"Elora, Ontario, a onetime agricultural centre turned tourist destination that illustrates the meaning of 'picturesque.'

Many of the finely crafted limestone houses built by the village's Scottish pioneers nearly two centuries ago remain. More original stone buildings are found downtown, reincarnated as galleries, gift shops, artists' studios and restaurants along the wide avenues. And everywhere, flower-bedecked planters and hanging baskets add splashes of colour to the vibrant surroundings."
