Trail links expanding in the fall - Peterborough Examiner - Ontario, CA

"An uninterrupted waterfront walkway from Millennium Park to Del Crary Park has moved closer to realization.

The city has used $1,290,000 in federal gas tax funding to construct a critical section of the Otonabee River Trail that will eventually link the two parks along Peterborough's waterfront.

The precarious link of floating docks that once ran along the Holiday Inn waterfront has been replaced with a concrete walkway.

'This was an expensive proposition,' explained urban planner Brian Buchardt. 'There was a lot of work done here to ensure its longevity... its accessibility.'"
