TheWesternStar.com: Columns | Drinking and driving can be stopped

"According to the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, “drivers with a blood alcohol above 0.05, but below the legal limit are 7.2 times more likely to be in a fatal collision than drivers with a zero alcohol. This clearly supports a complete ban on driving with any alcohol in the blood.”

Before you say this is impossible and cannot be done you might want to look at ATVs and snowmobiles because this sector already has a zero tolerance to alcohol. This should raise a few eyebrows when people realize that the rules around alcohol are stricter for ATVs or snowmobiles than cars."
