"Paddlers from across North America will gather at North Bay's Olmsted Beach on Trout Lake Saturday at 7:30 a.m. for the start of the longest canoe race in Ontario.
The 64-kilometre Mattawa River Canoe Race, presented by the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority, traces the historic route of the voyageurs through lakes, rivers, fast water and several portages to Mattawa Island."
The Ontario Trails Council is a registered charity, led by volunteers who promote the development, management, use and conservation of Ontario's trails.
