Trails alliance will use grants to boost profile - Community Press - Ontario, CA

"A new $37,000 marketing strategy will help the Eastern Ontario Trails Alliance attract more tourists into the area, says EOTA general manager, Cindy Cassidy.

The alliance has received two grants — $9,000 from Hastings County and $20,000 from Community Futures and Development corporation and Federal Economic Development Agency — to produce a video to 'showcase trails at trade shows and on YouTube and the EOTA website,' Cassidy said."

This builds on the estimated $340,000 provided by the National Trails Coalition and another another $64,000 through sales of the Trillium Trail Gold pass in 2009-10 - all through the support of the Ontario Trails Council.
