"As the City of Toronto grows and population increases, the pressure on our natural areas from recreational use intensifies. Toronto 's trail network is a popular destination for mountain bikers, hikers, runners, dog-walkers, school and camp groups, nature enthusiasts, and other users. Trail rehabilitation projects are required to repair the damage caused by the daily wear and tear of such recreational use.
