"Matlock hopes the proposed Expedition Club will be approved by the school so that he and other members can undertake future expeditions with the college’s support.
Already, he is planning the club’s first venture — to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Africa’s highest mountain, he says, is one of the “easier” climbs of the Seven Summits (the highest points on all seven continents) he wants to reach in his lifetime."
