"In an effort to prevent wildfires, the province is clamping down on outdoor fires in northwestern Ontario.
The Ministry of Natural Resources has declared a Restricted Fire Zone in much of the area beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Friday.
Officials say the ban will stay in place until conditions improve."
