The first board meeting of the year is at the Courtland restaurant on April 3 at 9 a.m. All club members and persons interested in cycling with us are encouraged to join the executive at 10 a.m. for breakfast.
The new executive includes: Megan Vankerrebroek, president; Steve DiLella, past-president; Chris Baird, vice-president/membership; Robert Johnstone, treasurer/communications; Ron Vandenberghe, secretary; and directors Gerry Currie, Karen Rice, Krystal West, and Alan Daly.
The following is an overview of who we are and what we do by our current club president.
The Silver Spokes Club is a road touring club, and our tours are focused on safety and enjoyment. We offer cycling tours for people of all ages, and all levels of ability. We have a weekly ride schedule and many special event rides on most weekends throughout the spring and summer. Because our membership resides throughout Oxford and Norfolk counties, we begin our rides at many locations such as Hay Creek Conservation Area, Delhi Belgian Hall, Courtland Bakery, and the Tillsonburg Community Centre."
