Toronto – As Canadian cyclers gear up for the 2010 racing season, Chico Racing is excited to welcome Kijiji Canada to the cycling community. As a sponsor for the 2010 season, Kijiji and Chico will team up for some new and unique initiatives that will enhance Chico's cycling events in Ontario, Canada.

Canadian cyclists are already using Kijiji.ca to buy, sell, and trade bikes and cycling accessories. With 99 local sites across the country and over 60,000 listings in the Sports and Bikes category alone, Kijiji makes it easy for cyclists to connect with others in the community. With today's announcement, Kijiji Canada is increasing their involvement with the cycling community through their sponsorship of Chico Racing events.

Chico Racing's President, Adam Ruppel expressed, "Kijiji.ca is an industry leader and they know our customers (mountain bike riders) are well-educated and informed individuals who are very savvy consumers and early adopters of technology."

"There are thousands of bikes listed on Kijiji at any given time so this was a natural fit for us," said Zachary Candelario, general manager, Kijiji Canada. "We're excited about our involvement with the cycling community and can't wait for race day."

To get involved in race day, Kijiji will also be organizing a team of cyclists for a number of Chico Racing events, including the 24 Hours of Summer Solstice on June 26 and 27.

Along with the season sponsorship, Chico and Kijiji have also partnered to launch Chico Racing/Kijiji.ca TV. Featuring athletes and showcasing the thrilling sport of mountain biking, the Chico Racing/Kijiji TV episodes will give the team an opportunity to share the excitement of cycling events with the general public. Canadians will be able to view the videos on chicoracing.com and cranktheshield.com.
